Parents of Children With Asthma

Are you a parent or guardian of a child with asthma?

Parents of Children With Asthma (POCWA) is a program of Healthy Lungs Pennsylvania– an organization that is committed to the prevention and control of lung disease.

POCWA provides information and resources for parents to help them manage their child’s asthma with confidence. Members of POCWA will receive educational information to learn about common asthma triggers, symptoms, and other disease management strategies.

By signing up for free information, you will receive:
• Asthma reading material
• Instructional sheets for peak flow meters, inhalers and spacers
• A Student Asthma Action Plan to provide doctor instructions and information about a child’s asthma to school nurses, teachers and caregivers
• Access to Camp Huff-N-Puff, a four-day camp for children ages 8-13 held each August
• Special programs and email offers as available including School Asthma Initiative and more

It is easy to become a member of Parents Of Children With Asthma (POCWA).

You'll soon receive your introductory POCWA kit. As you learn about asthma management, you and your child can breathe easier.
