School Asthma Initiative
School Asthma Initiative provides asthma awareness, education, and management techniques applicable to anyone who interacts with a student with asthma. It is a program of Healthy Lungs Pennsylvania– an organization that is committed to the prevention and control of lung disease.
School Asthma Initiative offers resources to child care centers, PreK-12th grade & beyond to educate school personnel, students, families, and child care staff about proper asthma management.

The American Respiratory Alliance of Western Pennsylvania offers a free school-based asthma management training program for school nurses, teachers and students. In-service hours qualify for Act 48.
